Asha is an Emergency and Critical Care veterinary nurse with over 15 years experience in a specialist setting. As the ICU Nurse Manager at University of Melbourne’s U-Vet Animal Hospital, she assists in the teaching of Veterinary Medicine students, mentors Veterinary Nursing students, and enjoys a varied caseload of critical patients to care for.
Asha frequently lectures at industry events, as well as appearing in public forums such as major exhibitions to provide educational presentations to both veterinary professionals and pet owners. She has appeared as a guest on various media platforms and invited to speak at pet industry functions as an advocate for education and the nursing profession, and to increase the recognition of veterinary nurses as a vital part of the clinical team. She has also authored numerous articles, which have been published in the Australian Veterinary Nursing Journal.
Asha currently sits on the VNCA’s Board of Directors, and enjoys contributing to the advancement and professional standing of vet nurses in Australia.
